Katie:Actually I don't have sweet tea this time. LOL Mrs. Bennet is funny! And I agree with your description of her. It is odd that Mr. Darcy is like that with the time period and all. I wonder if something happened to him that's making him so rude and unpleasant. ??
Emily: Well, in chapter 3, after Mr. Bingly tries to get him to dance, he (Darcy) declares that, "...I detest it (dancing) unless I am particulary acquainted with my partner." Maybe he was just a bit shy? But he was still rude...especially after his criticism of Elizabeth Bennet-who he did not even know!
Yeah, maybe so. :) I thought his very outspoken thoughts of Elizabeth was uncalled for and mean. But, I think Elizabeth handled it outstandingly well! I probably would have gone home and cried. Haha!
